Suzette Rodriguez led the Clayton Area Toastmasters 2013 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest last night at JCC Workforce Development Center.
In the speaking portion of the contest, Steve Kelly presented his speech entitled ‘DARING DENTAL DISCLOSURES’ and Anthony Allen presented ‘The Dear Hunt that Changed My Life’. Suzette’s interviews with the speakers highlighted a long and interesting involvement both speakers had with the local club, both having competed in past contests and advancing to Area and beyond.
David Warner and Donna Gatnarek evaluated Anthony’s speech in the Evaluation Contest portion of the evening providing the important feedback that Toastmasters wants to allow everyone to grow and improve their speaking abilities.
The winners will advance to the Area contest planned for Saturday September 28th. Times and locations will be posted on the club website. First Place speaker went to Anthony Allen, and Evaluator was David Warner.
